“Radar” Single Cover
The cover for Britney Spears’ next single, “Radar,” features Brit’s face behind a very pink radar screen. It’s definitely an upgrade from her recent album covers, but still nothing spectacular. It was a quick photoshop job that someone was probably way overpaid for.
Releasing “Radar” as her next single also strikes me as a warning sign. “Radar” was originally on her last album, Blackout, but was never released as a single. It was supposed to be the fourth release from the album, but the album wasn’t doing very well, so they decided to include “Radar” on her latest album, Circus, as well. Now they’re releasing it as a single, which I think it a big mistake. Britney fans have already heard the song and want something new. It also speaks of the quality of the songs on Circus: that no more are considered single-worthy.
“Womanizer,” “Circus,” and “If You Seek Amy” have all been released from the album already and have done very well. I would have rather seen “Unusual You” or “Kill The Lights” released, but they aren’t as radio friendly as “Radar.” For Britney’s sake, I hope it does well despite all of this.
